- "What a tremendeous album! Kip Winger for me is one of the premier songwriters of any genre. And this is, IMHO, his best work ever. Yes, it's a rather dark and moody album, but most tracks still come up with the goods, i.e. tremendeous melodies and hooks. In particular "Every Story Told", "Nothing" (what soaring chorus!) and "Where Will You Go" are bound to become Winger classics. I also dig the two ballads "Runaway" and "California" as well as the groovy "Reason To Believe". Props to Kip for some very deep and moving lyrics as well. Finally, this record is extremely well played, produced and engineered. In particular Rod Morgenstein (love his ever grooving and tasty drumming with lots of fills) and Ken Mary do a great job, and so does Andy Timmons on guitar. Album of the year so far."

Present are the Turkish sounds from his recording session in that country combined with a Beatleish sound on many of the songs and of course the introspective writing and feel of his previous three solo efforts. It is noticeable that this is the biggest budget album that he has recorded as the production and engineering are superb and make a huge contribution to the overall sound of what can be described as a brilliant effort....after a few listens to the record I can say this album will not be for someone looking for the latest commercial effort or hooks and choruses to brighten up your day. As with all of Kip’s solo efforts, this is a very serious affair on the lyrical content and the precise and at times complicated musical style and the two melded together make this a brilliant effort….this is a record that you will have to give a few listens too because of the depth of the music much of which may not hit you the first few times out….those looking for a Winger sound alike won’t get it and those who understand Kip and his musical vision will love this album…as I do from only a few listens….this is pretty deep stuff on one level, yet very simple on another….Wonderfully superb record....A++ "

Kip Winger had already decided in the late 90s and early twenty-first century take on another facet as an artist, experimenting with new sounds, away from the hard rock music and focusing on more intimate and experimental. The new disc which now has just published "From Moon to the Sun" is a confirmation of what he wants done. This is a totally different record, but there are things that continue, as the excellent voice of Kip Winger, which is still present throughout the disc. A disc full of exquisite melodies that catch you throughout the disc. A lot of experimentation, a lot of melancholy, sometimes almost oníricas tessitura and esoteric.

In short, a very complex record, not for those who are closed only on the cane, noise or speed. Album is intimate, relaxed, melancholy, and even approaching mystical moments, replete with a lot of quality both in composition, production or delivery of items. Be prepared and choose moments when you want to hear this kind of music, and if you choose, it can be one of the most interesting records of what they carry in 2008.
